It's
the off-season!
The Misfits are making use of this downtime to catch up on the
stuff that they can't do while on the road!! Dates are currently
being finalized for the 2001 season. MMoD will be returning to
almost all of the faires that they attended in 2000, as well as
adding shows at various theatre venues in California. Also look
for the debut of the Heaven and Hell Extravaganza in Spring
2001.
Wylie has landed an
agent, is organizing and training a TheatreSports team for St
Bonaventure High School, and is also studying Shao-lin Kung Fu.
He's currently sore from head to toe, but his hair still looks
fantastic!
Richard recently landed a commercial
agent. He also graduated "Ape School" and is even now
in the Mojave Desert working on Planet of the Apes. Richard's
love of monkeys has finally come full circle, and it is reported
that he can now die a happy man.
Greg is currently working in Mobile
Advertising Sales. Truth be told, he is probably now the wealthiest
Misfit, and is probably unaware that he has been elected Head
of the Misfit Alchohol Supply and Deployment Department--which
means all future rounds are on him!

The
Misfits' debut at The Livery Theatre was a resounding success!
Playing to full houses both nights, The Stage Show Spectacular!
went over like gangbusters! The Livery management and patrons
all expressed their wish that we were doing a month-long run,
instead of just a limited engagement. The Misfits have an open
invitation to do our shows there again at any time. Also, a TheatreSports
match between Ventura TS and MMoD is in the planning stages, so
look for more Doom in Ventura!
MMoD has returned unscathed from the badlands
of California! The Renaissance of Kings Cultural Arts faire
in Hanford, California went very well for the Misfits. They spent
their time entertaining lots of people (on stage and off) and
drinking lots of beer (on stage and off). New friends were made
with the Duelists, continuing the Misfit tradition of allying
themselves with sword-wielding comedic duos. The subsequent socialization
with the Duelists also fueled the rumors that comedic swordplay
originated with MMoD and that anyone else is just stealing ideas.
The Misfits are going to give improv classes
in November! MMoD will doing a day full of improv workshops,
followed by a special presentation of The Stage Show Spectacular!
that same evening. This event will take place at St. Bonaventure
High School in Ventura, CA. While the show is open to the public,
the classes are reserved for students of SBHS.
The Misfits are working on a completely
original improv format for their next show.
No details can be released yet, but suffice to say that The
Heaven & Hell Extravaganza will incorporate the gladiator-like
competition that typifies The Stage Show Spectacular!.
Wylie saw Phish last night. They were awesome.
It was a religious experience.
Another month, another website redesign!

Tomorrow
the Merry Misfits of Doom take the next step in their conquest
of the world. The Stage Show Spectacular! is making the leap from
the dusty stages of the Elizabethan bard to the modern conveniences
of the Livery Theatre in beautiful Ventura CA.
The show will include many new dooms and will have the added benefit
of not having to keep the jokes fit for a 16th Century environment.
The Misfits will also be backed by a full band, "The Fruit
Eating Monkeys."
Keep checking back for pics and news of how the shows went!
Event: The Stage Show Spectacular! Live at the Livery!

Hanford's Renaissance of Kings Cultural Arts Faire confirmed yesterday
with the Misfits. Showtimes are yet to be announced, but the Misfits
will be on their mainstage.
Plans are in the works for MMoD to hit the road and go head to
head with various and sundry TheatreSports groups in California.
These events will probably take place in the late Fall. So start
planning now!
